February - There are still several ways you can grow your recovery through service!
Intergroup Recording Secretary: main responsibility is to see that the minutes are kept of all Intergroup meetings and distributed to Board members, Standing committee and Meeting Representatives. The term is a 2 year term and the term started January 2018.
Alternate Delegate: will attend Region III Assembly Meetings or World Service Conference and vote the conscience of the Intergroup. Attendance at Conference and meetings will be rotated with 2 other delegates. Alternate Delegate shall make a written report to Intergroup of the proceedings at Conference and Region III meetings and file same with the Recording Secretary.
This also is a 2 year term and the term started January 2018
Intergroup Representatives: primary responsibilities are to represent their group at all Intergroup meetings; to act as liaison between the Intergroup and their group; to see that all Intergroup business is communicated to their group. Intergroup Representative has a vote in the business of Intergroup.
*note - we have 16 OA groups active in the Greater Oklahoma City Intergroup area. Many of the groups do not have Intergroup Representatives. Intergroup needs more representation to vote on business items, to plan activities for the growth and common welfare of the membership and to participate in more fully in the world wide fellowship.
Other Service Positions Available are:
12 Step Within Committee - plan activities for the membership
Public Relations - seek ways to let others know about OA, ex: Health fairs, mailing to professionals etc.
Office Coordinator- be the manager for the Intergroup office, contact person for the office, keep up supplies needed etc.
Committee Terms are for one year with consecutive terms being acceptable
